COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — The Cimarron Hills and Colorado Springs Fire Departments contained several spot fires across Colorado Springs Tuesday.

Cimarron Hills FD says the eastbound lanes of Platte Ave. were shut down in the area as crews battled a fire near Powers Blvd. Colorado Springs Fire crews battled a fire near Platte and Wooten Dr. Both fires are now out.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department also tackled a fire reported near Interstate 25 and the Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass.

At this time there’s no word on what started any of these fires. The Colorado Springs Fire Department wants to remind residents that the city remains under burn restrictions with high winds and elevated fire danger returning this week.
